Prodesse, Inc. Appoints David J. Tyler VP, Manufacturing

WAUKESHA, WI
(November 23, 2004) - Prodesse, Inc. today announced the appointment of David J. Tyler as Vice President, Manufacturing. He will be in charge of the build out and operation of Prodesse’s new facility for the manufacture of molecular diagnostics products for infectious disease detection.

The most recent addition to Prodesse’s management team, Tyler joins Prodesse from Third Wave Technologies (TWTI, Madison, WI), where he was Director of Manufacturing. At Third Wave, in addition to his manufacturing responsibilities, he was also extensively involved with ISO and cGMP activities, manufacturing software implementation and design controls. Prior to Third Wave, Tyler was QC/Production Manager for Gorilla Genomics (Alameda, CA) where he was instrumental in optimizing the company’s products for use on a variety of Real Time and other platforms. He also developed automated manufacturing facilities at Gorilla as well as several other organizations.

Tyler has previously been affiliated with Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratories, the University of California at San Francisco and Howard Hughes Medical Institute (Berkeley, CA) and has medical training from the School of Medicine at the University of California San Francisco. He has one patent pending and has co-authored two publications. He received his M.S. in Microbiology and B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
